Christ Church, Frederica is open to the public for tours every day (except Tuesdays, Easter & Christmas) from 2-5 PM.  For safety reasons, the cemetary grounds are closed every Tuesday for routine landscape maintenance from 7 AM to 4 PM.  Please call the church office at (912) 638-8683 for more information. 

Christ Church is located on St. Simons Island in the Coastal Plain region of Georgia. St. Simons is one of Georgia's barrier islands, a chain of sea islands located along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. These islands form a barrier between the Atlantic Ocean and the rest of Georgia.

The Coastal Plain occupies about half of Georgia's land. It includes hills, rivers, streams, and marshes. The Coastal Plain area is a low, flat region of well-drained gently, rolling hills, and poorly drained flatlands. It can be divided into two sections, the Gulf Coastal Plain which covers southwestern Georgia, and the Atlantic Coastal Plain which covers southeastern Georgia. St. Simons is located within the Atlantic Coastal Plain where the Atlantic Ocean forms the eastern border of the state.
